Vintage Hand Carved Marble Eagle Sculpture with Prey, Natural Stone Bird Glass Eyes OOAK. This is a unique vintage eagle sculpture made of carved variegated marble with black veins throughout. It depicts the eagle perched on a stone with a small quail under her foot. The eagle and prey both have glass eyes, and the detailed carvings of plumage and talons are very nicely executed. There appears to be added embellished patina on various polished parts like the talons and the back.

This came from an estate collection that has been in storage for decades. I don't see a signature but I believe it is from Italy. Great condition, no significant issues, minor wear on edges. Approximately 6 inches tall x 6 inches long x 7 1/2 inches deep.
