Another gorgeous piece of Art by First Nations master artist Gino Seward from the Kwakiulth First Nations just arrived in our native Art gallery. Guaranteed authentic hand carved, wooden EAGLE - art carving. This is a thick piece of wood, very deep carving lines, it just makes it look so beautiful!! It's signed at the back, carved in front, also, it's prepared for wall hanging. Finest North American art - Gino doesn't sand his pieces much so that you can see his knife-marks - it's just visible how much work he put's into them.

Measurements: 16" x 8" x 1 1/2. Gino Seward was born in 1972 in. He is of both Coast Salish (father) and Kwakwaka'wakw (mother) descent.

Gino began carving at the age of eleven and was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl master carvers Jackson and William Robertson. Gino prefers to carve finely, detailed plaques and amazing freestanding totems. Gino, now considered to be a master carver, has taken on two apprentices (Danny Pugles and Sammy Seward) and is proud to aid in the preservation of his cultures artistic traditions.
