The cuts are so deep, just unbelievable. Measurements: 16" x 8" x 2. Gino Seward was born in 1972 in. He is of both Coast Salish (father) and Kwakwakawakw (mother) descent. Gino began carving at the age of eleven and was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl master carvers Jackson and William Robertson.
Gino prefers to carve finely, detailed plaques and amazing freestanding totems. Gino, now considered to be a master carver, has taken on two apprentices (Danny Pugles and Sammy Seward) and is proud to aid in the preservation of his cultures artistic traditions.
