Killer Whale with Eagle Spirit by the Kwakiulth First Nation Artist Gino Seward. This piece is fully knife finished, no sanding, you can clearly see the knife marks, just incredible. Gino really puts so much love and work in every single piece of his art. Very deep carving, stained in dark brown (images taken in sunlight) and polished solid thick piece of wood.

The stain Gino applied just accentuates the beautiful grain of the wood, very impressive piece of Art and so easy recognizable as one of Gino's pieces. Made for wall hanging, carved at the front, signed at the back.

The cuts are so deep, just unbelievable. Measurements: 16" x 8" x 2. Gino Seward was born in 1972 in. He is of both Coast Salish (father) and Kwakwakawakw (mother) descent. Gino began carving at the age of eleven and was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl master carvers Jackson and William Robertson.

Gino prefers to carve finely, detailed plaques and amazing freestanding totems. Gino, now considered to be a master carver, has taken on two apprentices (Danny Pugles and Sammy Seward) and is proud to aid in the preservation of his cultures artistic traditions.
