Another gorgeous piece by Nootka master artist Brian Bob from Vancouver Island. EAGLE and SALMON wall art.

Superb carving, incredible clean piece of sitka spruce. As always, the expression and the design is so elegant - truly superb craftsmanship.

Every time I visit the artist, he surprises with new designs and it's always such a pleasure to chat with him about them. And is always happy to share stories and history. Carved in front, prepared for wall hanging and signed with his carved "B" at the back.

Measurements: 36" x 5 1/2" x 3/4 (92 x 14 x 2 cm). Brian Bob is a member of the Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) First Nation, originating from. His Indian name is Qquyutsapool which means "Policer of the wolves".

Brian's mother is Fran Touchie who practiced whaling from traditional dugout cedar canoes, his father was Wilson Bob. Was the hereditary chief of the Snaw-naw-as Nation, originating from. Brian also has Coast Salish roots through heritage.
