Another detailed, large and superb piece by North American Kwakiulth First Nation artist Gino Seward. Beautiful wall art carving, carved in front, signed at the back, prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached. The details and depth in the carving is truly incredible, easy recognizable as one of Gino's pieces of art - he has developed his own style of carving, doesn't do much sanding which is nice, you can clearly see the chip marks of the knife. Really thick and solid piece of wood - and the grain, visible through the dark stain, truly accentuates the natural beauty of the wood. Images taken in sunlight well....Measurements: 3 ft/36" x 8" x 1 1/2 (92 x 20 x 4 cm). The artist: Gino (Eugene) Seward w. As born in 1972 in. He is of both Coast Salish (father) and Kwakwakawakw (mother) descent. Gino began carving at the age of eleven and was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl master carvers Jackson and William Robertson.
