This Coast Salish carving by Peter Charlie is 17 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide. It is in excellent condition. Peter Charlie was born in 1957 on the Capilano Reservation in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a member of the Coast Salish Nation of the Northwest Coast Native people.

He has been carving since 1976 and his work embodies the traditional motifs and values of the Northwest Coast Native art form.
