These handmade wood pipes have been made by the Matsé Tribe who lives in the Amazon of Peru. The Matsés use them to smoke the Mapacho or tobacco.

These pipes are used by the chiefs of the tribe as a sign of respect and authority. The designs are based on the tribe's Ayahuasca-inspired medicine songs called ícaros.
