Amazing Vintage Hand Carved Buffalo Horn Eagle Bird Figurine with sword holder. Very detailed, has a real-like eyes. Excellent work from artist made this eagle life like and we can almost feel the wind this eagle surfing with.

This sculpture strongly suggests movement and power. There are the special holes and holders there, Looks like made for a blade or little sword holder, at least a big pen (I know, it's for a letter opener?? , but one can store there a collectible knife or so).

I placed there a knife of 10 lengths and posted the photo of this knife for reference. Large about 11" tall by the highest point of left wing and about 16" wide in wings.

In great condition, no chips or cracks. Some imperfection on the flower leaf showed on photo, looks like happened by curving. The big wings were made separately, are incised with details of the feathers and amazed us. They are attached with nails to the eagle's body and seams like the right wing doesn't fix well.

In general this horn eagle in a great condition despite its a vintage piece. The paper label is still attached in mint condition and there was no dust on a sculpture at all. Looks like it has been stored in a glass cabinet. Very nice find for your collection. Please see all pictures carefully to verify details and condition.
