This one has extensive carving and is perfectly proportioned with beautiful balance. It actually looks like an Eagle. Most of the ones that I see are cartoonish looking to my eye...

Done by amateurs for the tourist trade. This Eagle/Falcon was carved by a Master carver from a solid piece of ironwood. Stunning maroon and brown highlights as ironwood should be. There are different grades of Ironwood. The highest quality and therefore least seen is very dark brown/maroon, almost black. Condition is as close to mint as can be considering this is a hand carved piece of Art and is over 50 years old.

In person it is breathtaking. 11-1/2 Tall Weighs approx 4-1/2 lbs. Will be packed to perfection with 3 dense foam all around. Ironwood is the heaviest wood on the planet.

This piece weighs approx 5 lbs. With the 3 foam all around and extra bracing I estimate the package will weigh approx 8-10 lbs.
